
Our Stake has purchased Roku Devices for many of our TVs that do not have “SMART” TV capabilities. These devices will allow iPhone, iPad, some Android, Mac & Windows computers to screen-share to the TV wirelessly. TV’s should now have both Wired and Wireless capabilities.
NOTE: Not every device may be supported for WIRED or WIRELESS
HOW TO USE:
iPhone / iPad
- Be sure your device is on the Liahona Wifi Network
- Wifi: “Liahona”
- Password “alma3738”
- Power ON TV
- Roku devices are powered on when the TV turns on; they may take a minute to boot and connect to the internet.
- Select input for the Roku device
- Might need to cycle through HDMI inputs 1, 2, or 3.
- Search for the TV’s name in the iPhone/iPad’s “Screen Mirroring” area
- (See image below)
- Enter the code on the screen into your device
- DONE!

Windows Computers (Windows 11)
- Be sure your device is on the Liahona Wifi Network
- Wifi: “Liahona”
- Password “alma3738”
- Power ON TV
- Roku devices are powered on when the TV turns on; they may take a minute to boot and connect to the internet.
- Select input for the Roku device
- Might need to cycle through HDMI inputs 1, 2, or 3.
- On the Windows 11 computer press “Windows Key + K”
- Select the TV’s Name in the list of available displays

- If asked, Click “Allow” or “Always Allow“
- DONE!

TROUBLE
Confirm the HDMI cables are connected
- WIRED HDMI
- Confirm the USB-C video cables are connected to the HDMI port on the back of the TV
- Confirm you have selected the correct HDMI using the Remote input selector. (Usually HDMI port 1)
- WIRELESS HDMI
- Confirm the Roku HDMI cables are connected to the HDMI on the back of the TV (Usually HDMI port 2 or 3)
- The Roku also has a USB cable that serves as its power source, which is plugged into the TV’s USB port for power.
- In some cases, Roku may be plugged into the TV cart’s power or wall power
Confirm your device is on the Liahona for Wireless sharing
- Access the Church Wifi network as follows:
- Wifi: “Liahona”
- Password “alma3738”
